use <<< EOF and escape $variable
$file_content = <<<EOF <?php \$conf['cache_backends'] = array('sites/thomas.lemaire.nameall/modules/contrib/apc/drupal_apc_cache.inc'); \$conf['cache_class_cache'] = 'DrupalAPCCache'; \$conf['cache_class_cache_bootstrap'] = 'DrupalAPCCache'; EOF;

The execution order of view hooks is important if you don't want your tweaks to be overridden
Drupal module list: lesser known

Send an email
There is unfortunately no easy way to send an email in Drupal... and no way to send an html email using core functions!!
Firebug console error prevention
